Open to everyone.
À l'Époque is for everyone, and that includes how you experience this website. We design and build with accessibility in mind and work to keep improving. This statement explains the standard we follow and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

1. Our commitment
We want every visitor, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology, to be able to learn about the event, apply to take part, and get in touch. Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain this site, not an afterthought.
2. The standard we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These internationally recognized guidelines are the benchmark referenced by accessibility laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Conformance is an ongoing effort, and we test and refine the site as it evolves.
3. Measures we've taken
Among the steps built into this site:
- Semantic, structured HTML with a single main heading per page and a consistent <main> landmark.
- A “Skip to content” link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and every form field.
- Form fields with proper labels, required-state and error messaging announced to assistive technology.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, with decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
- Generous tap-target sizes on interactive controls for touch and motor accessibility.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” system setting, which pauses animations such as the scrolling marquee.
- Color and typography chosen with legibility and contrast in mind.
4. Ongoing work and known limitations
We regularly review the site against WCAG 2.1 AA and address issues as we find them. Accessibility is never “finished.” As we add content and features, some areas may temporarily fall short, and we prioritize fixing them. If you encounter a barrier that isn't listed here, we'd genuinely like to know.
5. Third-party content
Some parts of the site rely on third-party services, for example embedded maps, bot-protection challenges, and email sign-up. We choose reputable providers and aim for accessible integrations, but we don't fully control the accessibility of third-party components. If one of them blocks you, contact us and we will help you complete the task another way.
6. Need help, or want to report a barrier?
If any page, form, or feature is difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, please email info@alepoqueexperience.com with the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to respond within three business days and will work with you to provide the information or complete your request another way, including helping you apply or get in touch directly.
